Exotic Kaylani Lei was born
in Singapore to Filipino parents. While she was still a child, her family immigrated to the United States and
lived in states such as Massachusetts, Virginia, and Ohio before settling in Las Vegas, Nevada. At 18, she began exploring the
world of exotic dancing, and it was while working as
a house dancer in Las Vegas club that she became intrigued
by the idea of seeking out a career in adult films.
After
relocating to Los Angeles, she immediately began her adult films career in September 2002 and found immediate success. Kaylani's big break came while she was on the set of a Wicked Pictures film shoot, since one of Wicked's performer did not show up for the filming, so Kaylani stepped up and filled in for that actress' role and gave an performance that impressed the Wicked executives. Although she was pursued by other major adult film studios, including Vivid Entertainment, Kaylani opted to become a "Wicked Girl" contract performer for Wicked Pictures in 2003, and often working under the tutelage of
acclaimed filmmaker (and Wicked Pictures contract director)
Michael Raven.
Indeed,
with performances in such diverse Wicked titles as Raven’s
high-tech fantasy epic Angel X and Jonathan Morgan’s
Wicked Auditions 2, Kaylani began receiving acclaim
from both fans and critics alike. Impressed with both
her acting and sensual skills, Wicked Pictures Owner
and President Steve Orenstein signed the exotic performer
to an exclusive contract with the company. She has since
created a body of work that’s culminated with
2004 AVN nominations for Best Actress and Best New Starlet.
Since
joining the Wicked family, Kaylani has worked in some
of the studio’s most ambitious projects, including
the couples’ oriented Julia Ann vehicles Beautiful and The Assignment, and Jonathan Morgan’s epic
science fiction parody Space Nuts. Late 2003 saw the
release of the first film of her Wicked contract, Michael
Raven’s Blue Rain, a tense police drama that received
press coverage in both AVN and on MTV’s The New
Tom Green Show. Her more recent Wicked productions include
Raven’s Couples, Brad Armstrong’s AVN Editor’s
Choice Sweatshop, and Armstrong’s upcoming big-budget
erotic thriller Eye Of The Beholder. A frequent studio
guest on both Playboy TV and mainstream radio, Kaylani
also hosts her own KSEXRadio.Com talk show, Me So Horny
With Kaylani Lei.
When
not at work, Kaylani enjoys going to the
movies and shopping – especially for clothes (she
admits a weakness for anything made in soft pink, her
favorite color). Furthering her Wicked association, she inked an exclusive
deal with California Exotic Novelties to design her
own line of Wicked Essensual Elements erotic toys.
